Le masque du diable

In a French countryside, people are meticulously preparing masks for the annual Halloween celebration. Before the Halloween night festivities begin, the beloved elderly woman Angel, who dislikes masks, once again braves the fierce wind and darkness as she leads her goat into the mountains, just as she does every year. While playing dominoes alone, Angel is visited by a masked demon. After a brief exchange, the two engage in a game of dominoes, with the rule that if Angel wins, the demon will use magic to restore her youthful appearance; if she loses, the demon will claim her soul. After one round, the demon resorts to trickery, allowing Angel to glimpse a young face in the mirror. They play another round, with the condition that if the demon loses, he must reveal his true face to Angel. However, it turns out the demon is merely a villager wearing multiple masks. The moment the real demon removes his mask, it leaves everyone utterly astonished.
