After 1,800 years of cultivation, Nanaiko arrives in the modern world and begins her journey as a workplace novice. One late night after returning home on her birthday, Nanaiko makes a simple wish over her birthday cake—to be able to handle all workplace crises. Little did she expect a moving, talking mushroom to suddenly jump out of the cake!? From then on, their noisy, chaotic workplace life begins. Facing various workplace challenges together, Nanaiko and the little mushroom embark on a series of adventures, eventually becoming soulmates who support and grow alongside each other.
