On a rainy day after school, Yūki finds Miu in a gloomy mood in the music room. Having forgotten her sheet music, Miu is too afraid to attend Mr. Shirakawa’s lesson. To help Miu forget her worries, Yūki suggests they skip class together… but Miu hesitates… Accompanying Yūki to the CD shop, Miu remains downcast… The music playing in the store stirs thoughts of giving up in Miu’s mind. Eventually, Yūki notices and encourages her, and Miu sets off on her familiar path…
Arriving at the music school, Miu feels like giving up due to being late and lacking sheet music. Though it is already late, Shirakawa is still willing to teach her and does not scold her for her tardiness or missing music… Yet this only makes Miu more uneasy. In the quiet classroom, the sound of Miu’s piano begins to play… But Shirakawa senses Miu’s guilt and allows her to play freely, accompanied by the sound of rain. Even amidst the rain, Miu’s playing subtly conveys her hidden worries, clearly reaching Shirakawa… Yet Shirakawa appears unusually solemn…
On the way home, Miu realizes she has lost her umbrella, and misfortune piles up… With insufficient phone card credit and change, she is fortunately spotted by her father, who is just getting off work…
Finally, the rain clears, and the sheet music that had troubled Miu… is discovered to have been in her backpack all along…
