"Dispute" was completed in June 1988 by Shanghai Animation Film Studio. The film depicts a teapot that considers itself tall and majestic, looking down upon a small teacup. Unwilling to submit, the teacup resists, leading to a fierce clash between the two objects, ultimately resulting in the tragic shattering of both. This fairy-tale-themed film features characters (the teapot and teacup) directly inspired by Yixing, Jiangsu. Originally inanimate objects are imbued with lively life and rich philosophical meaning, earning praise from experts.
