In a bustling yet chilly corner of the city lives an unremarkable little man named Edmond. Due to a past elevator accident, he always chooses to take the stairs. Mr. Edmond is short and easily overlooked in a crowd. Perhaps out of a sense of inferiority, he hardly speaks to anyone, avoids the company cafeteria, and goes about his days alone, diligently focusing on his work and whatever lies before him—never protesting or resisting even when mocked or teased by colleagues. One day, two mischievous coworkers secretly placed a pair of paper donkey ears on Edmond’s head. When he stood before the bathroom mirror, he saw the reflection of a donkey staring back.
This moment deeply stirred something within Edmond, yet he seemed to relish every second of wearing the donkey ears, as if the donkey were his true self…
