Defective Detective

In the dead of night, the entire city seems to have sunk into a deep slumber. Along the streets stand heavy, old-fashioned apartment buildings, and in only one of these apartments, a faint yellow light glows from a single room. Here lives a detective who has solved countless major cases, yet many murder mysteries remain unresolved, leaving him scratching his head in frustration. Suddenly, a piercing scream erupts from the old woman’s apartment upstairs, followed by a stream of bright red liquid dripping down through the cracks in the floorboards. The detective is startled—could the old woman have been killed by some brutal murderer? Though trembling with fear, he decides to go upstairs and investigate. In reality, the old woman was preparing dinner when a sudden appearance of a mouse frightened her, leading her to throw a tomato at it in panic.
