Q Ban San Guo, produced by Guangdong Guangzhou Tongyi Film and Digital Effects Production Center, is the first large-scale adult animation locally created over two years with an investment of 10 million. A 39-episode historical comedy animation masterpiece.
As the saying goes, under heaven, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide. In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, due to the incompetence of Emperor Xian, the realm fell into great chaos, marking the beginning of the historical era of the Three Kingdoms. Liu Bei (a cabbage farmer), Guan Yu (a tripe butcher), and Zhang Fei (a pig butcher) originally intended to enlist as soldiers, but were inexplicably captured and thrown into Taoyuan Prison. The three hit it off instantly and swore brotherhood in the peach garden.
After their release, Liu Bei was eager to find a powerful patron to rely on, but he was terribly unlucky—every patron he sought ended up dead without fail! The world dubbed Liu Bei the "Patron Killer," a name that quickly spread far and wide. Cao Cao, owner of "Cao's Knife Shop," kindly invited Liu Bei for a hotpot meal to "discuss heroes over warm wine." However, Liu Bei, fearing Cao Cao meant him harm, knocked Cao unconscious first and fled in panic. In his haste, he realized he had left behind the love of his life, "Huahua," at Cao's residence, so he sent Guan Yu back to rescue her. Cao Cao, who had long admired Guan Yu's reputation, used "premium tripe" to make Guan linger and forget his mission.
Zhuge Liang, unemployed for years, accidentally encountered Liu Bei, who regarded him as a heaven-sent genius. Through a series of coincidences, Liang helped Liu expand his business to greater heights. The tripartite division of power among Liu, Cao, and Sun began to take shape. Later, Liang masterminded a "rock-climbing competition" at Red Cliff for the three factions. With the help of the east wind, Liu Bei achieved a great victory.
This is not the Three Kingdoms you know. Unlike "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" or "Records of the Three Kingdoms," which focus on constant warfare and ambitions to unify the nation, "Q Ban San Guo" replaces military conquest with business battles. As the saying goes, the business world is like a battlefield. The three major groups represented by Cao, Liu, and Sun engage in fierce, chaotic, and hilarious business wars. It allows viewers to grasp the general situation of the Three Kingdoms without witnessing bloodshed, all while laughing until their stomachs hurt.
