The anime was adapted in a form close to the original work. They invited Koichi Ishiguro, who directed the TV special effects drama "Kaiketsu Lion-Maru," which Takaya liked the most. While based on Volume 1 of the comics, it includes arrangements such as the appearance of the Five Hyper-Zoanoid Warriors. The character designs are close to the original. This work served as the catalyst for changing the design of Guyver II to its current form. Additionally, Takaya was responsible for writing the lyrics of the theme song ("Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor," performed by Shinichi Ishihara, composed by Norizumi Morooka).
