The first animated adaptation of Guyver. Released on December 13, 1986. Although labeled as a "Theatrical Version," it was essentially a limited release of an OVA production. The story is based on Volume 1 of the manga, but features strong original elements, such as the absence of the important original character Tetsuro Segawa and Guyver II being female. It was later broadcast on Yomiuri TV's "Anime Daisuki!" program. The Japanese subtitle is "OUT OF STANDARDRIZED," while the international title is "Out Of Control" (it is unclear whether the misspelling "STANDARDRIZED" was intentional).
