A star that fell to Earth and broke one of its tiny legs was accidentally found by Laura. Under Laura's careful care, the star gradually regained its former vitality, and wherever it went, the scattered starlight miraculously brought Laura's cloth doll to life. However, Laura and the star's secret nearly came to light during a trip to China. On the way to China, the star and Laura were accidentally separated, leaving Laura extremely anxious. Yet, in such a vast country like China, finding a lost little star was no easy task. Meanwhile, a Chinese girl named Lingling was astonished to discover that the legendary Chinese mythical beast—Nian—had been revived. The star was taken in by the young Chinese girl Lingling. Originally just a costume, "Nian" coincidentally came to life as well, thanks to the star's magic. Fate brought Laura, the star, Lingling, and Nian together in the night sky, leaving their laughter and joy in the Chinese night. But just as the night seemed peaceful, a dark cloud loomed over the city... When parting, Laura and Lingling bid each other a reluctant farewell, their cheerful laughter lingering in China.
