天上篇 宇宙皇子

The anime depicts the growth of a boy named Uchū Ōji, the son of a god, as he journeys through the celestial realm. It is the second film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Keisuke Fujikawa, with a screenplay co-written by Junki Takegami ("Genmu Senki Leda") and Sukihiro Tomita. Directed by Tetsuo Imazawa ("Sakigake!! Otokojuku"). The animation director is Nobuyoshi Yamasaki, who also worked on the aforementioned series.
