Late at night, the once bustling billiards hall falls into complete silence. However, a single table remains lit in the pitch-black room. It turns out the mischievous Tom has sneaked in while no one is around to indulge his passion for the game. He is brimming with confidence, though his skills leave much to be desired. Fortunately, since he is just amusing himself, a little trickery now and then is hardly a big deal. Just as he is thoroughly enjoying his game, Jerry, who was sleeping inside one of the pockets, gets disturbed. The groggy little mouse narrowly avoids having a ball drop on his head from above, and then gets squeezed between two balls. Furious, he goes out to find the nuisance-maker, only to end up in Tom's clutches and subjected to a good deal of teasing. Whether being run over by a train of billiard balls or jumping through a fiery hoop on the black 8-ball, the little mouse is kept on the run while Tom is thoroughly amused. Of course, the cat-and-mouse battle is always a two-way street, and a fierce war unfolds right inside the billiards hall...
