The story depicts a battle between two parallel worlds, one of good and one of evil. In the DC Universe's setting, there exist countless parallel worlds, each distinct from the others. Among them, Earth-1 is the world we are all familiar with, where numerous superheroes are active, while Earth-3 is a world exactly opposite to Earth-1. All the heroes' counterparts on Earth-3 are villains who commit every imaginable evil, whereas the super-villains of Earth-1, Lex Luthor and the Joker (arch-nemeses of Superman and Batman, respectively), have counterparts on Earth-3 who are superheroes saving the world. Now, in this film, the heroes and villains from these two worlds engage in an intense, thrilling, and often humorous life-and-death struggle.
