The Ice Age is approaching, and animals are rushing to migrate to warmer areas and store food. Mammoth Manfred, sloth Sid, and saber-toothed tiger Diego fall behind the migrating herd while trying to help a human baby return to its parents. These three animals with distinct personalities decide to join forces to assist the infant. Along the journey, the kind-hearted Manfred suspects that Diego has ulterior motives and wants to eat the baby, leading to mutual distrust. Together, they endure countless hardships and dangers, eventually learning to trust each other sincerely. 　　When Diego's saber-toothed tiger companions learn that he is traveling with a baby, they—starving and freezing—demand that Diego hand over the infant as food. However, Diego has grown attached to the adorable baby and cannot bring himself to harm it. What choice will Diego make? Will the baby safely return home?
