The protagonist of this film is a little girl named Lilo who lives in Hawaii. Lilo is five years old—lively, adorable, and loves dancing the hula, listening to Elvis Presley’s old songs, and has always dreamed of having a pet dog of her own. One day, Lilo adopts a pitiful stray dog for two dollars and names him Stitch. However, she never expected that this somewhat odd-looking blue creature is not an ordinary dog at all—he is actually an alien being with six legs! Created by the "evil genius" Dr. Jumba, Stitch was being exiled to another planet in the galaxy when his spaceship unexpectedly crashed, forcing an emergency landing on Earth. Seizing the opportunity, Stitch made a run for it. To hide his identity on Earth, Stitch has to "endure humiliation"—tucking away two of his legs to make himself look like a dog. During his time with Lilo, the little girl’s cuteness and kindness lead them to become inseparable companions. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Galactic Council dispatches Dr. Jumba, Stitch’s creator, and the one-eyed agent Pleakley to capture him at all costs—even if it means searching the entire universe! Later, the Chairman is moved by the love between Lilo and Stitch, allowing them to stay together and permitting Dr. Jumba and Pleakley to remain on Earth as well.
