"Star Trek: Lower Decks" is a new adult animated web series in the Star Trek franchise, premiering on CBS All Access. It is the first animated Star Trek series since "Star Trek: The Animated Series" from 1973-1974. "Lower Decks" tells the story of the lower-ranking crew members aboard the Starfleet ship U.S.S. Cerritos in the year 2380. "Star Trek: Lower Decks" focuses on the support staff serving on "one of Starfleet's least important ships," set in the year 2380, shortly after the events of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
