In the very center of the barn, a mousetrap baited with a small piece of cheese was set. Little mouse Jerry cautiously approached the trap. Though fully aware it was a life-threatening device, the temptation of the delicious treat proved too strong, and he couldn't resist the challenge. From a corner, Tom watched the thrilling scene with eager anticipation. Finally, the long-awaited "click" sounded. Tom shot forward like an arrow, while Jerry, clutching the cheese with the trap still clamped on his tail, dashed frantically away. Using his wits, Jerry shook off Tom and scurried beneath a large hen. Tom's clumsy and reckless movements angered the hen, who then launched a series of fierce attacks on him. After driving off the annoying intruder, the hen settled back over her eggs and continued brooding. But Tom had no intention of giving up just yet. 　　 And so, the war on the farm began...
