This is the collective childhood memory of all Chinese children born in the 1970s and 1980s. Popeye is a sailor who lives happily with his girlfriend, Olive Oyl. Their joyful life arouses the jealousy of the villain, Bluto, who tries every possible way to take Olive away. Thus, in each episode, Bluto always devises schemes to kidnap Olive. Just as he is about to succeed, Popeye always manages to get his lifesaver—spinach. Once he eats the spinach, Popeye becomes incredibly strong, and Bluto is inevitably subdued by the invincible Popeye!
