From the forest, three squirrels with distinct personalities—Xiaomei, Xiaoku, and Xiaojian—are chased by a wildcat into the city, where they meet an 18-year-old boy named Zhang Guoguo and begin a joyful daily life together. Each squirrel has unique traits: Xiaomei excels at inventing, Xiaoku is serious, highly intelligent, and passionate about street dance and kung fu, while Xiaojian is a gluttonous and energetic powerhouse. Guoguo, who loves cooking, lacks confidence in himself. He often feels unable to protect his childhood friend Le’er, and the squirrels also face the threat of the pursuing wildcat. So the squirrels come up with a brilliant idea: they provide Guoguo with gadgets to help him stand up against bullies, become a hero who aids others, and protect themselves in the process. With the squirrels’ assistance, Guoguo repeatedly thwarts the wildcat’s schemes, stops the misdeeds of a city gang, and helps people solve various problems. However, the low-key Guoguo keeps his identity hidden from everyone. Shedding his hero attire, he continues to live like an ordinary boy next door, enjoying a happy and adventurous urban life with his good friend Le’er and the squirrels Xiaomei, Xiaoku, and Xiaojian.
