This time, Wallace (voiced by Peter Sallis) and his loyal dog Gromit start a cleaning business. While cleaning a wool shop, Wallace becomes infatuated with the shop owner, Wendolene (voiced by Anne Reid), unaware that the wool shop is involved in shady dealings. Meanwhile, an unexpected guest arrives at Wallace's home—a little lamb named Shaun. This big eater causes quite a bit of trouble but also brings Wallace and Gromit a lot of joy. However, the good times don't last long, as Gromit is arrested as a suspected sheep killer. To rescue him, Wallace, Shaun, and the other sheep organize a meticulous rescue operation... This film won the 1996 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, the 1997 Annecy International Animated Film Festival Audience Award, and the 1996 British Academy Film Award for Best Animated Film.
