The Little Orphan is sent by the Mouse House to stay with Jerry for Thanksgiving. The little orphan seems to be perpetually hungry, but Jerry's nest is completely empty, with nothing to satisfy their hunger. Desperate, Jerry takes a risk and brings the little orphan to drink the milk from Tom's plate. Tom wakes up and gulps down the milk, leaving the two little ones to continue starving. Fortunately, the house maid has prepared a lavish Thanksgiving dinner. Jerry once again sets his sights on the feast. However, how could the cunning and gluttonous Tom possibly turn a blind eye? While interfering with Jerry and the little orphan's attempts, Tom also sneaks in to skim off some benefits for himself. A major battle between the two sides is inevitable... This film won the 1949 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
