In the Minato Ward of Yokohama City's Mirai District, there has long been a legendary tale of how the Pretty Cures from all generations joined forces there to defeat the mysterious enemy "Fusion." Citizens who admire the Pretty Cures are all excited about this topic; however, for Ayumi Sakaue, who has just transferred schools and has no friends, she cannot join in and share this joy with everyone. Just then, Ayumi encounters a mysterious creature named "Kobo" near her school, and the two quickly become very close. However, Kobo is actually a dark fragment of "Fusion." For the lonely Ayumi, it decides to absorb all the beautiful things around her, ultimately aiming to destroy the town! To convey Ayumi's true feelings, the 28 Pretty Cures once again gather their combined strength, shining with the light of miracles!
