Leo, Donnie, Raph, and Mikey are mutant turtles trained in the art of ninjutsu by their rat sensei, Master Splinter. Emerging from their sewer lair, the reptile brothers confront the wondrous world of New York City, facing villains more dangerous and pizza more delicious than anything they could have imagined. Through battles with Shredder, the Kraang, and loads of super-powered mutants, the Turtles learn to rely on themselves and each other as they grow into the heroes they are destined to be. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) is an official television series launched in 2012 by Nickelodeon after it took over the franchise. The series is a comprehensive upgrade and remake based on various previous versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At the same time, its storyline differs somewhat from other versions, so it should not be considered a direct continuation of the earlier adaptations.
