The series follows the adventures of Fry, a young man from the 20th century, in the 30th century. Phillip Fry is a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy in New York City, whose life consists of running around every day. On December 31, 1999, he is accidentally cryogenically frozen and wakes up 1,000 years later, gaining a chance to start a new life. He finds a job at Planet Express, a company specializing in modern package delivery services to every corner of the universe. His colleagues include the spaceship captain Leela, a tough but lovable one-eyed alien, and a robot named Bender who shares many human flaws (he drinks, smokes, steals...). Fry, Leela, Bender, and sometimes Amy and Zoidberg risk their lives delivering packages across the universe, occasionally engaging in charitable acts for tax deductions. Each episode is packed with hilarious moments, making it an excellent comedic sci-fi animated series.
