It follows the life of Friten-kun, a salaryman who loves mahjong and views life with a slightly cynical, sideways glance. The sarcastic remarks that slip from his lips wound those around him, yet also provoke uproarious laughter. So, what will today's salaryman life at the company bring? And what about the battles at the mahjong parlor?! Released in two volumes, Volume 1 is subtitled "Friten's Mahjong Wanderings," and Volume 2 is subtitled "Friten-kun's White Giant Tower." Each volume contains three episodes, reconstituted from the original four-panel manga. Directed by Kozo Takagaki, one of the main directors for "8 Man," who also directed episodes of "Super Jet" and "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman F."
