"LEGEND OF FUTURE" is a commemorative orchestral instrumental track that opens Tomoyasu Hotei's first solo album "GUITARHYTHM," released on October 5, 1988. This work, "LEGEND OF FUTURE," along with the album's eleventh track, "A DAY IN AUTUMN," are numbers that materialize Hotei's idea of "wanting it to feel like the entrance and exit of a dream, akin to a film soundtrack," incorporating orchestration. They were recorded last, after all the other tracks had been completed. The visuals, which leave a striking impression from the opening, begin with a withered rose carrying a G-shaped guitar in the desert. A single path illuminated by the scorching sun. The main story starts from the scene where a glass of sweet wine, appearing suddenly like an oasis, is drunk dry, leading to rebirth. The original impetus began with Hotei's desire to characterize the "HOTEI model guitar," painted with geometric patterns. The animation was created by members of the anime production company Gainax. It is the opening track of one of the highest-caliber music video works in Japanese rock history.
