"Shonen H ga Mita Sensou" was adapted into a two-part anime format, broadcast on August 17th and 24th, 1997, within the program "Weekly Kodomo News." For this episode, the original author, Senoo, personally visited his alma mater, Kobe Municipal Chouraku Elementary School. The format involved Senoo narrating wartime events to the fifth-grade students (at the time) as part of an extracurricular lesson, while simultaneously screening the anime. All Christian-related depictions were omitted from the anime and were only briefly mentioned in Senoo's lecture.
