An anime adaptation of Konami's popular game "Goemon." Makumuge, who aims to conquer the human world using his subordinate Seppukumaru and others. Goemon, who has come to the human world from the game world, confronts Makumuge together with his companions Ebisumaru and Yae. The giant robot familiar from the games, Goemon Impact, also makes an appearance. The theme song is performed by Saruganseki. The original game version was the arcade release "Mr. Goemon" in 1986. After that, the Famicom game "Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Dōchū" became a hit, establishing it as one of the company's flagship series. Prior to this work, it had also been adapted into the OVA "Jigenjō no Akumu."
