An OVA based on the PC RPG game "XANADU," released by Nihon Falcom in the mid-1980s and immensely popular. It also originates from the comic version published by Kadokawa Shoten, which was handled by manga artist Kazuhiko Tsuzuki, who was an employee of Nihon Falcom at the time. 　In 2035 on Earth, a boy named Feige Kamura, who fought as a NATO soldier, is suddenly transported to another world. This world is XANADU, where peaceful white magic and combat-oriented black magic are in conflict. Although Feige has no memory of his past, he rescues Princess Riel of the Xanadu Dynasty, who is being attacked by black magic monsters. While the king is killed by a man named Reixwall, who manipulates black magic, and one of the three sacred treasures, the Crystal, is stolen, Feige and Riel learn from the high priest Taston about another sacred treasure: the holy sword Dragonslayer. Reixwall, who aims to achieve his ambitions by misusing the Crystal, now targets the Emerald, another sacred treasure in Riel's possession. Will Feige be able to rescue the captured Riel? 　This OVA was produced by Toei Animation (formerly Toei Doga). The director is Atsutoshi Umezawa, who served as a producer for works like "Fresh Pretty Cure!" at the same company.
