"Kai-Ketsu Zorori" is a short animated film released on July 17, 1993. It was double-featured with "Soreike! Anpanman: Kyoryu Nosshii no Daiboken" and shares the same production framework as "Soreike! Anpanman." The episodes adapted into the film are "The Sorcerer's Apprentice (Mahotsukai no Deshi)" and "The Great Pirate's Treasure Hunt (Daikaizoku no Takara Sagashi)." While a video release was issued, it has never been released on DVD. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" While traveling to train in mischief-making, Zorori and his companions encounter strange animals in a forest. They tell Zorori, "We've been cursed by an evil sorcerer and are in trouble. Please defeat the sorcerer and return us to normal." Zorori agrees. However, Zorori's real aim is not to defeat the sorcerer, but to learn magic from them. Overcoming various hardships, Zorori and his friends finally reach the sorcerer's castle and beg to be taken as apprentices. And so, Zorori and his group begin training diligently every day under the sorcerer, but... "The Great Pirate's Treasure Hunt" Walking along the seashore after stealing a magic wand from the sorcerer, Zorori and his friends find someone drowning. When Noshi uses magic to save them, only two uses of the magic remain. The man Noshi saved is a pirate captain, who explains he was practicing swimming when his float was punctured with a star-shaped hole. He then entrusts Zorori with the request, "Please give the golden parrot, who knows the treasure's location, to my son, Paru," before passing away. When Zorori and his friends head to the pirate ship, they are attacked by the pirates. There, they meet the acting captain, Tiger, and the captain's son, Paru. When Zorori tells Paru that his father has died, Paru is saddened, but upon hearing about the treasure, he recalls words his father once said and retrieves a treasure map from the golden parrot. Zorori also offers to help search for the treasure, and they finally find Treasure Island. However, Tiger plots to take all the treasure for himself. What will become of Zorori and his friends?
