Produced within the framework of the partnership between Quartier des Spectacles and the National Film Board of Canada, this work utilizes excerpts from Norman McLaren's *Begone Dull Care* (1949). As *Begone Dull Care* was a co-production with Evelyn Lambart, this project similarly attempts a recreation through collaboration with his wife, Sanae (an abstract painter). In the manner of *Begone Dull Care*, which was drawn directly onto 35mm film, drawings are made on long rolls of ticket machine paper to construct a visual music. The music uses two pieces from McLaren's early works titled "Christmas Cracker" and "Mail Early for Christmas." With the sounds of bells and organ hymns, it celebrates the 100th anniversary of McLaren's birth.
