In 1989, the compilation film "Demon Sword Legend: The Movie" received a single-theater release at Theater Ikebukuro. While the original runtime of approximately 120 minutes was re-edited to about 90 minutes, five minutes of newly animated scenes were added, and narration by voice actress Keiko Toda, who played Ayano-suke, was inserted.
