This is the sixth theatrical film in the series featuring "Shimajiro," the popular character from Benesse Corporation's correspondence education materials for children, "Kodomo Challenge." While previous series entries blended live-action and animated segments, this work is the first in the series to be produced entirely as an animation. One day, Shimajiro and his friends embark on an adventure to a magical island. On the island's village, the villagers are troubled because the spring, which should arrive every year, has not come. Shimajiro and his friends join forces to try to summon the spring, but... The film is crafted with care to be enjoyable even for children experiencing a movie in a theater for the first time. It features a total runtime of approximately 60 minutes, including an intermission, and incorporates opportunities for the audience to participate through singing, dancing, and cheering.
