The fifth theatrical film in the series featuring the adventures of "Shimajiro," the popular character from Benesse Corporation's early childhood correspondence education program "Kodomo Challenge," blending animation and live-action. Boarding the Mogul ship invented by Mr. Gaogao, Shimajiro and his friends arrive in a desert, where they meet a lively girl named Coco, who has been separated from her mother in a sandstorm. Shimajiro and his friends decide to help Coco search for her mother across the perilous desert. Designed to engage even the youngest children experiencing their first movie in a theater, the film incorporates songs, dances, and opportunities for cheering along, while also featuring thoughtful considerations such as keeping the theater lights dimmed (not fully dark) and including an intermission during its approximately 60-minute runtime.
