Chinkoro Heihei is on his nightly patrol, making his rounds outside the castle walls. As Heihei yawns, an arrow suddenly pierces the wall in front of him. Startled, he hides, and two small tengu emerge from the darkness, moving stealthily. One heads toward the mansion, while the other stands guard. The tengu that enters the mansion kidnaps a young girl and flees. The girl’s father gives chase but gets into a shoving match with the guarding tengu at the door, ending up flattened beneath it. Heihei carries the flattened father to the home of his master, Dango Hyōe. The father turns out to be Dango Hyōe’s uncle. Shocked and saddened by his uncle’s flattened state, Dango Hyōe’s reaction amuses the watching tengu. Dango Hyōe fires his gun at the small tengu. The tengu either turn to bones or transform into small birds and escape. As Dango Hyōe and Heihei give chase, they find themselves surrounded by a large group of small tengu, leading to a massive brawl. Dango Hyōe puts up a fierce fight, while Heihei punches the tengu one by one and throws them into a hole. Finally, they manage to rescue the girl and breathe a sigh of relief, only for a great tengu to appear, seeking revenge for his underlings. As Dango Hyōe faces this crisis, Heihei uses a crab claw to snip off the great tengu’s long nose with a *chon*. Together, the two finally succeed in defeating the tengu.
