The monochrome version aired on the TBS network from October 4, 1967, to December 27 of the same year, concluding after one cour with a total of 12 episodes (plus one rebroadcast episode) without reaching the story's resolution. In April 1971, a serialization began in Shogakukan's educational magazines, premised on a new TV production. However, as the new program was canceled, the serialization ended after only two months. Half a year later, a newly produced color series was realized, airing from October 7, 1971, to March 30, 1972, with a total of 26 episodes. Except for the color remakes of the monochrome episodes "Shatter the Ghost Plan" and "The Vanished Blueprint," all episodes were new productions. This series did not experience any interruptions in the story, concluding with the final battle between the Skyers 5 and Ghost in the last episode. There exist unaired episodes for the monochrome version (3 episodes' worth) and the color version (13 episodes' worth: 12 new episodes + the remake of the monochrome episode "The Vanished Blueprint").
