A new series that began one month after the previous installment ended, with a change in its broadcast time slot. Unlike the previous series, which concluded in roughly 20 episodes, this one ultimately achieved a long-running broadcast of approximately three years. Another characteristic of this series is its strong emphasis on anime-original content. Ranma's ordeal of switching between male and female forms continues as usual, both at Furinkan High School and in daily life. Into Ranma's everyday life also come a host of troublesome characters, such as Mousse, a man who harbors affection for Shampoo, and Happosai, the lecherous master of Genma and Soun.
