Born into a family of table tennis players, Zhang Ruoyi had distanced herself from the sport ever since losing a crucial match that would have secured her professional career. To start a new life and change her mindset, she decided to attend a high school in Hangzhou, far from her hometown in Northeast China. There, she meets Wang Lu, an outstanding student excelling in both academics and sports; Li Xintong, a cheerful table tennis enthusiast; and Ding Xiao, a free-spirited troublemaker. Though still haunted by the scars of her past defeat, Ruoyi picks up the racket once again. Meanwhile, Wang Lu, despite her talent, avoids joining the school's table tennis team. Holding different feelings toward table tennis, the four girls inspire one another through their playing and perspectives, gradually confronting their own inner struggles with the sport. All of this—so they won’t regret dedicating their youth to that match.
