Indy began working for a local television station. While she wanted to be a reporter, she was stuck getting coffee. One day a man named Peter Parker came in with footage of the superhero Spider-Man. However, the station was taken hostage by Pterodax who threatened to detonate bombs that would destroy the building unless Spider-Man arrived by a certain time. Spider-Man arrived and stopped them. He diffused the bombs and threw the last one out the window. Afterwards, Indy began dating Peter.
She helped Peter discover that the mayor's aid was actually Silver Sable.
Later the Gaines Twins tricked Spider-Man into attacking her putting Indy into the hospital. Her attack prompted the city to turn against the hero.
