Half a year after the runaway accident in the Mother Dimension Tunnel, the YAT members rush to the spaceship upon hearing that Tenjōin Kei has returned from her home planet. However, their emotional reunion is short-lived as a violent tremor strikes, and when they regain consciousness, they find themselves in an unfamiliar part of space. There, they meet an old man who calls himself Dr. Note and a girl named Maron. Their abilities are being targeted by an organization plotting to conquer the universe, the "Ganon Empire." Dr. Note is captured by the empire, President Yamamoto is brainwashed by the enemy leader Ganon and turned into his pawn, and with their leader gone, Gorō and the others must rely on their own strength to continue their arduous journey.
Similar to the first season, this series remains a comical gag anime with self-contained episodes and the premise of visiting various planets. However, this installment differs in direction from the previous one, which wove together many human dramas with scattered foreshadowing. Here, the focus is more on action-packed stories of good versus evil, featuring battles against a villainous organization, akin to a classic hero narrative.
While the first season centered on the theme of parental love, this work explores the themes of children leaving the nest and parents letting go.
