An anime adaptation of the battle manga series of the same name by Shimabukuro Mitsutoshi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump," themed around "food." Directed by Kobunai Mitsuru, with scripts by Hiramatsu Masaki, and animation production by ufotable. Prior to its television anime adaptation, this work was screened at the "Jump Super Anime Tour 2009." The protagonist, the gourmet hunter Toriko, hunts ingredients from all over the world.
