An OVA adaptation of the groundbreaking rock romance manga (original work by Maki Kusumoto) serialized in "Weekly Shōjo Margaret" since 1988. The original story primarily takes place at a street-corner live house. The up-and-coming band "D. Quese," performing there to great acclaim, features a male vocalist named Kanon (Kano Akira), who is immensely popular among the fan girls frequenting the venue. Tonight, too, he basks in their fervent cheers. Yet, residing in Kanon's heart is a slightly airheaded girl named Kameno-chan. She alone is the object of Kanon's affection. This work is less a story-driven OVA and closer in content to an image video. It captures the atmosphere of the characters Kanon and Kameno living within the world of the story through animated visuals, and thanks to the beautiful work of animation director Naoyuki Onda, it has been well-received by fans. It also garnered attention for the participation and cooperation of then-trendy bands and musicians such as Retsu, Sakana, and Nakamo.
