Winner of the Special Jury Prize in the Short Animation category at the 10th TOHO CINEMAS Student Film Festival.
This is a story of a summer love, youth, and occasionally, rock 'n' roll.
During lunch break, high school student Takumi uses a broom as a substitute guitar, shouting his love to a girl he has yet to meet. Every day is boring, and reality is always dull. Believing that the encounters and dramas seen in movies could never happen in real life, Takumi clings to that single broom. Unaware of the feelings of his childhood friend Misaki, Takumi remains oblivious. And she, too, struggles—gazing at Takumi, who always looks toward the distant horizon. Takumi's best friend, Makoto, watches him with a mix of exasperation and concern, while also grappling with the fallout of Susaki, who left the baseball team due to a scandal. And Susaki, the former baseball team ace who has lost everything...
Now, their emotions collide.
Produced in 2015 by the animation production team "Studio Hōkiguitā," formed by students from the Character Design Department of Kyoto University of Art and Design under Professor Nomura's seminar: Shun Itokawa, Madoka Ogawa, Seitoku Kim, and Taku Kimura.
