Based on the gag comedy manga by Fujio Akatsuka, this work was animated once again by Toei Douga (Toei Animation), the same studio behind the 1969 original series. This TV anime also marks the return of screenwriter Masaki Tsuji, known for masterpieces like the black-and-white "Cyborg 009." The story follows father and son, Batsu Gorou and A Tarou, on a journey through the Shinshu region. Just as A Tarou vows to work seriously, Batsu Gorou passes away. Watching A Tarou toiling away at their greengrocery store, "Yaobatsu," and being encouraged by his crush Momoko, Dekoppachi initially finds it all rather annoying, but...
