This is one of the short anime films included in the omnibus feature film "Kenji's Trunk," with a runtime of approximately 22 minutes. It is an animated adaptation of Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tale "The Cat Office," depicting the story of "Kamaboko Cat," who continues to work diligently despite facing unreasonable bullying from his colleagues. Directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi, who has helmed theatrical films such as "Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur" and "Little Ghost Q-Taro: Invitation to Monster Land," and has been involved in numerous children's anime works. Character design is handled by Toshiyuki Honda, who has served as animation director under Fukutomi, creating uniquely charming cats. The protagonist, Kamaboko Cat, is voiced by Ikue Otani, who often portrays animal roles such as Pikachu and Chopper.
