桃太郎传说

An adaptation of Hudson's representative game series "Momotaro Densetsu" (Peach Boy Legend). The concept planner for this work is Hiroi Oji, known for "Mashin Hero Wataru" and the "Sakura Taisen" series, who reportedly worked hard to unify the various divergent game versions' worldviews. In the village where Saru's Monta and others live, oni (demons/ogres) have been appearing and causing trouble for everyone. Monta sets out with Kiji's Kiko and Inu's Pochi to find help. First, the group asks Kintaro for assistance, but he only has money on his mind. Next, they meet Momotaro. The mischievous Momotaro possesses power so great it even causes the villagers considerable distress. Utilizing the transformation tech of the armor made by his grandpa, Momotaro takes on the task of defeating the oni. Production of this work was handled by Knack. The script was by Shunichi Yukimuro, and character design was by Toshio Mori, among other talents associated with Toei Douga (now Toei Animation).
