The anime depicts the growth of the young girl Rin as she overcomes her mother's death and life in a foreign land. The original work is by Eiko Hanabusa, the screenplay is by Mitsuru Majima, and it is directed by Hiroshi Shitara, who also directed "New Maple Town Stories: Palm Town Chapter." It was released as part of the "Toei Manga Matsuri" film festival.
