"Yu☆Gi☆Oh! Duel Monsters ALEX" (Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters) is an American television anime based on Kazuki Takahashi's manga "Yu☆Gi☆Oh!". Produced by 4Kids Entertainment, it aired in 2006. It consists of 12 episodes and was not broadcast in Japan. In line with the English version title, it is also referred to as "Yu☆Gi☆Oh! Capsule Monsters". Saving a world on the brink of destruction is no simple task. Therefore, when Jonouchi secures an opportunity for an exotic trip for the four of them, Yugi and his friends decide to cherish this rare journey—or so they thought! Before reaching their destination, their plane crashes, stranding them in a desolate forest where they encounter the mysterious Dr. Alex Brisbane. To his astonishment, Dr. Alex Brisbane discovers that in this remote place, far from Egypt, lies a secret pyramid leading to another world—the world of Capsule Monsters. When Yugi and his friends enter this pyramid, they are magically transported to a dangerous kingdom inhabited by ancient creatures. Lost in a mysterious labyrinth, they undergo numerous trials in order to find a passage back home. When Yugi's life is in danger, he swaps his Duel Disk for a Capsule Shooter, and a life-or-death duel begins.
