The cast has been announced for the anime "Bōkyaku Battery," based on the original work by Mikawa Eko.
"Bōkyaku Battery" is a baseball manga centered around the duo of Haruka Seihō and Kei Kaname, who stirred up the middle school baseball world as monster batteries. Although the two were scouted by prestigious high schools nationwide, for some reason, they turned down all offers. Behind this lies the reason that Kei has lost his memory and his interest in baseball... The series is serialized in Shonen Jump+ and has eight tankōbon volumes released so far.
In the anime, Hosoya Yoshimasa will play Haruka, and Miyano Mamoru will play Kei. The cast also includes Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Chihaya Shunpei, Suzuki Tatsuhisa as Tōdō Aoi, and Fukuyama Jun as Yamada Tarō.
The anime "Bōkyaku Battery" will be streamed on October 11th during the Shueisha-hosted online anime event "Jump Special Anime Festa 2020" on the Jump Channel on YouTube. The event will feature not only "Bōkyaku Battery" but also video streams and talk shows by the voice actors for "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," based on the original work by Gotōge Koyoharu and opening in theaters on October 16th; the TV anime "Dr.STONE," based on the original work by Inagaki Riichirō and Boichi, starting in January 2021; and the newly aired TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," based on the original work by Akutami Gege.
