On a certain island lives an extremely poor boy named Baru. In order to become immensely wealthy, he hoists a pirate flag on his ramshackle ship and forms a pirate crew with his pig companion Poo, his younger sister Muge, and a giant salamander named Kūna! He's fired up, determined to "rise up as a pirate by committing all sorts of wicked and heinous deeds!" However, for some reason, he ends up doing good deeds every time, gets his money taken by debt collectors, or isn't even taken seriously in the first place... Nothing ever goes according to plan. What will be the fate of Captain Baru's pirate crew!?
